On January 5th, BTR and Shenzhen Tsingyane Electronics signed a joint venture cooperation agreement. The two parties will carry out indepth cooperation to promote the industrialization of dry electrode technology, and jointly drive the innovation of cutting-edge key processes in the lithium battery sector. Dr. Yang Shunyi, General Manager of BTR’s Cathode Business Unit, and Dr. Wang Chen, General Manager of Shenzhen Tsingyan Electronics, among others, attended the signing ceremony.

Dry Electrode TechnologyBy directly compacting active materials and conductive agents into films, this technology eliminates the solvent coating and drying steps required in the traditional wet process. It features low cost, environmental friendliness and high energy density, while also addressing the issues of solvent-induced sulfide corrosion and solvent molecule residue. As a key enabler for cutting-edge fields such as solid-state batteries, it has become a core focus for the future upgrading and technological iteration of the lithium battery industry.


Backed by over 20 years of technical expertise accumulated by the industrial team of the Key Laboratory of Advanced Energy Storage Materials and Devices at Tsinghua University Shenzhen International Graduate School, Shenzhen Tsingyane Electronics boasts profound R&D experience in dry electrode technology. It has taken the lead in launching the worlds first fully automated production line for dry electrodes, with its equipment and technologies ranking among the industrys forefront.


Dr. Wang Chen stated: The cooperation between BTR and Tsingyane Electronics is essentially a precise match between "technological R&D advantages" and "industrial resource advantages." By addressing the respective pain points of both parties, a synergy effect of 1+1>2 will be formed.
